It’s never too late to make yourself over

Never in a million years would I have thought that I would be lucky enough to teach art let alone sell it. So back when I was given the opportunity to teach art it planted a tiny little seed that eventually grew into me selling my art; the ‘Art Walk’ was my first show.

When I decided to do the ‘Art Walk’ I literally had nothing to support this idea of mine. Not even a table to put my art on; that was borrowed. Like anything I take on I don’t plan, I just do. That’s me though. I think if I think about it too long than I’ll either lose interest or talk myself out of it. Do you do that too?

Well I didn’t give this selling art thing much thought so I dived in. I ordered a banner/sign and business cards off of vistaprint and away I went. The plastic banner I use to represent me is what I’ve been using for 4 years now. It was something I was proud of than but as time goes on it doesn’t fit me anymore…kind of like most of my clothes in my closet.

I’ve been wanting a new sign for over a year now and it’s finally in the process of happening. The backdrop is ready and was put together by my friend Sami. The wood was picked from an old fence on a farm in the family so already very special. I can’t wait to show you the end result so keep checking back.
